Canadians for Accountability has recently made changes to its bylaws removing so that we no longer have members. This was done in response to changes in law which would have made our membership lists open for government inspection. Considering the work we do, we felt that this was not in our or our members interests. Instead, we will be seeking your support, and you will have the option to be on our mailing list. This should be set up in the next few weeks.
Canadians for Accountability would like to accept any help that you can provide, whether it be a monetary donation, volunteer support or any in-kind support. See below for more details.
We welcome donations to our cause. Rest assured that the funds provided will be used to support Canadian whistleblowers and to advance accountability in Canada. As we are a volunteer organization, funds go to our operations and overhead – not even salaries, at this point. Donor information is kept confidential.
In order to make donation as easy as possible, we use PayPal. It’s secure and safe. Please make sure to include your address so we can forward your membership to you.
Note that you do not need to have a PayPal membership to make the donation this way. When you get to the PayPal page, just scroll down and click on “continue“.
Alternately, send your donation by mail. Please email at <firstname.lastname@example.org> to arrange a address to send your check.
Please note that Canadians for Accountability is not registered as a charity. You will still, of course, receive a standard receipt for your donation.
We are currently looking for volunteers to assist us in establishing our organization. In particular, we are currently seeking support for the translation of our website and the provision of fully bilingual services. If you are interested, please contact us by email at email@example.com, letting us know your interests, availability and aptitudes.
As we are a new organization, we are also seeking support in establishing an office and in the provision of services. Our wish list includes:
- Office space in Ottawa
- Meeting space in Ottawa
- Computer equipment
- Office supplies
If you are have something to donate, please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
